"The Wait is Over"

Chicago Cubs

For generations of Cubs fans, a championship was a hope passed from one season to the next. In 2016, Chicago finally ended its 108-year World Series title drought, turning a lifetime of waiting into a shared moment of triumph. Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Báez and World Series MVP Ben Zobrist became part of that history, alongside the pitching staff and leadership that brought the team together. “The Wait Is Over” celebrates the players who delivered and the families who had waited to see the Cubs become champions again.

Justyn Farano builds the tribute around Chicago’s celebration after its Game 7 victory in Cleveland, with Wrigley Field’s marquee and ivy connecting the championship to home. The team portraits frame the moment that generations of Cubs fans had waited to see. This non-autographed artist recreation is part of the limited edition of 108.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
