"2004 Lightning Champs"

Vincent LeCavier

The Tampa Bay Lightning captured their first Stanley Cup in 2004 after a seven-game Final against the Calgary Flames. Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis were central figures in the team’s rise, with St. Louis winning the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player that season. The championship gave Tampa Bay a defining moment in franchise history.

In “2004 Lightning Champs,” Justyn Farano commemorates the team’s breakthrough championship. This limited-edition canvas is signed by Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis, connecting the artwork directly to two of the players who helped bring the Stanley Cup to Tampa Bay.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
