"Shake N' Bake"

Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson combined the force of a power runner with the acceleration to leave a defense behind. His Minnesota years produced some of the most memorable rushing performances of his era, including a 2,097-yard season in 2012 that earned him the NFL MVP award. Few runners made an opening feel quite so dangerous.

Created earlier in Peterson’s Vikings career, Justyn Farano’s “Shake N’ Bake” captures him moving with the football extended in one hand, his purple No. 28 jersey set against a bold, dark-edged background. Peterson lettering and the Vikings emblem reinforce the composition’s identity. The portrait celebrates the quick feet and physical confidence behind his running style, preserving the moment when a defender had to decide which direction he would go.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
