"Philly Special"

Philadelphia Eagles

One daring play became a lasting symbol of Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl championship. In Super Bowl LII, the Eagles turned a fourth-down gamble into football history when quarterback Nick Foles caught a touchdown pass on the “Philly Special.” Philadelphia went on to defeat New England 41–33, rewarding a devoted fan base with a victory that reflected the team’s confidence, creativity, and refusal to back down.

Justyn Farano celebrates that spirit through the Eagles’ unmistakable identity. The team’s emblem commands the center of the painting, while the play diagram unfolds beneath it across a rugged field of green, white, and black. Expressive textures give the composition a gritty character that feels distinctly Philadelphia. Hand-signed by Foles, “Philly Special” connects the player, the play, and the city in one work of art. It is a tribute to the moment when belief became a championship and a bold call became part of Eagles lore.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
