"Rodger That"

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay story belongs as much to Lambeau Field as to the quarterback himself. Years of shared expectations connected his play to a franchise with a long memory and a demanding standard. A Super Bowl champion and multiple-time NFL MVP, Rodgers added his own chapter to the Packers’ tradition of accomplished quarterback play.

In his second Rodgers portrait, “Rodger That,” Justyn Farano widens the view beyond the player. Rodgers turns with the football in his hands, while smaller images show him leaping into the crowd and celebrating with both arms raised. The supporters surrounding his leap bring Green Bay’s fan connection into the portrait. Warm bronze textures carry the Packers’ green and gold through the composition. The work celebrates the relationship between a quarterback, his home field, and the fans who made every Sunday there matter.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
