"One For The Ages"

Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter made the extraordinary feel like part of wearing Yankees pinstripes. Across 20 seasons, the Captain combined five World Series championships and 3,465 hits with plays that still define his place in baseball memory. His instincts, commitment and ability to respond under pressure helped make him a Hall of Famer and a constant for generations of Yankees fans. “One For The Ages” celebrates that full legacy, bringing the milestones and unforgettable defensive moments of his career into a tribute to the player fans trusted when a game was on the line.

In his third Jeter painting, Justyn Farano surrounds the Captain’s signature jump throw with a filmstrip of career highlights, including “The Flip” and his dive into the Yankee Stadium stands. Those scenes connect Jeter’s athleticism to the instincts and determination behind his most memorable plays. This artist recreation is hand-signed by Derek Jeter.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
