Before his NBA championships in Chicago, Michael Jordan helped North Carolina win the 1982 NCAA title. His late jumper against Georgetown became a defining moment of that championship game and an early milestone in a career that would transform basketball.

“Air Born,” Justyn Farano’s fifth Michael Jordan painting, returns to his North Carolina years. Jordan lifts the basketball toward the hoop in a white Tar Heels uniform, surrounded by Carolina blue. A smaller monochrome scene shows a two-handed dunk, while a card-style vignette above captures him dribbling. The interlocking NC emblem connects those images to Chapel Hill. The painting brings several views of the young Jordan together, celebrating the college chapter that preceded his professional career.
