"Launch Mode"

Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan became the steady center of Atlanta’s offense, combining careful preparation with the willingness to attack downfield. His Falcons career reached its highest individual point in 2016, when he earned the NFL MVP award and led the team to Super Bowl LI. Those achievements followed years of work that made “Matty Ice” one of the franchise’s defining players.

Painted earlier in Ryan’s Atlanta career, Justyn Farano’s “Launch Mode” captures the quarterback preparing to deliver a pass, the football still held in his throwing hand. His white No. 2 jersey cuts across a field of forceful red and black, with a dark falcon silhouette spreading across the background. The composition celebrates the arm and focus behind Atlanta’s passing game, preserving the energy of Ryan in a Falcons uniform.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
