"Determination"

Dustin Pedroia

Dustin Pedroia turned relentless effort into a defining part of Boston Red Sox baseball. The 2007 American League Rookie of the Year helped Boston win that season’s World Series, then followed it with the 2008 AL MVP Award. A key member of the 2013 championship team, he also earned four Gold Gloves at second base, pairing quick hands and defensive range with a hitter’s refusal to give away an at-bat. In “Determination,” Justyn Farano celebrates the competitive spirit that made Pedroia a fan favorite and a leader at Fenway Park.

The close batting portrait puts Pedroia’s concentration at the heart of the piece, while smaller defensive studies connect his impact at the plate with his work at second base. Bold red lettering and number 15 reinforce the identity of Boston’s tenacious all-around player.

This original oil painting is hand signed by Dustin Pedroia. It also carries his inscription, “07 AL ROY & 08 AL MVP.”

Athlete & Celebrity
Endorsements

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
