On September 6, 1995, Baltimore’s Iron Man surpassed Lou Gehrig with his 2,131st consecutive game, eventually extending the record to 2,632. Across 21 seasons with the Orioles, he also earned two American League MVP awards, 19 All-Star selections and a World Series championship, finishing with 3,184 hits and 431 home runs. His legacy connects generations of fans to the perseverance, loyalty and sustained excellence behind that extraordinary streak.
