"A Little Slice Of Heaven"

Anaheim Angels Stadium

Angel Stadium holds generations of memories for baseball fans in Anaheim. The Angels have called the park home since 1966, and its place in franchise history was sealed when they won Game 7 of the 2002 World Series there to claim their first championship. In “A Little Slice Of Heaven,” Justyn Farano celebrates the ballpark as a gathering place for Southern California baseball, connecting collectors with summer games, family traditions and the pride of cheering for the Halos. It is a tribute to the home where those personal memories become part of a team’s larger story.

Farano’s aerial perspective sets the vivid green diamond against a largely gray surrounding landscape, drawing attention to the ballpark itself. The oversized red helmets at the entrance provide a distinctive Angels signature, making the approach to the stadium part of the memory.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
