"The Ambassador"

Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer helped bring golf into living rooms and made millions of viewers feel part of the game. His attacking style and approachable personality inspired “Arnie’s Army,” a following that went far beyond his seven major championships. Four Masters titles, a U.S. Open, and two Open Championships established the competitive record behind “The King.” His lasting appeal came from the combination of championship ambition and a personal connection with the people watching him play.

In “The Ambassador,” Justyn Farano honors Palmer in full follow-through, with the course opening behind him. The portrait celebrates the strength and presence of a player whose influence reached well beyond the scorecard.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
