"Trendsetter"

Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler brought a distinctive personality to professional golf, then backed it with performances on its biggest stages. In 2014, he finished in the top five at all four majors. The following year, he won the PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, making birdie on the island-green 17th in regulation and twice more during the playoff. That combination of individual style and competitive resolve has helped make Fowler a favorite with golf fans.

Justyn Farano’s “Trendsetter” celebrates Fowler’s individuality through a close portrait of his swing. The painting connects his recognizable style with the concentration of a player who has delivered under tournament pressure.

The philosophy behind my art has always been to make the most compelling, engaging experience for you, the viewer. I try to envision what it was like to compete against that athlete on the field. I want you to feel that grit and rawness of emotion, the athlete’s competitive fire, and passion.

As a perfectionist, my obsession of getting these details precise, takes razor focus, constant critiquing, and fine tuning. It’s not till the painting is complete to my highest of standard, till I am genuinely satisfied.
